An Automatic Stacker is an essential auxiliary system designed to work seamlessly with metal roll forming machines. It provides an efficient and automated solution for collecting, aligning, and stacking finished metal sheets, roofing panels, and wall claddings after the forming process. By using an automatic stacker, manufacturers can ensure that every sheet is stacked smoothly, safely, and without surface damage — all while maintaining continuous roll forming production.

Precision and Protection in Every Stack
During roll forming, the Automatic Stacker prevents scratches and dents that commonly occur when metal panels slide against each other. Instead of direct contact, the sheets glide along precision rollers and guiding systems, ensuring that the finished panels retain their clean surface and perfect finish.
The pneumatic-powered stacking arms are controlled by a highly sensitive photoelectric sensor (photo eye) that detects when a panel reaches the correct position. Once detected, the stacker automatically releases and lowers the sheet onto the stacking platform with perfect alignment.
One of the key features of this equipment is its minimal drop distance—typically around four inches. This short drop distance significantly reduces the impact force and ensures that every sheet lands flat and uniformly. The result is a perfectly aligned, stable, and visually consistent stack, ready for packaging or further processing.

The Automatic Stacker can be fully customized to accommodate different production requirements. Whether you are producing short wall panels or long roofing sheets, stacker configurations are available in 3-meter, 6-meter, 9-meter, and 12-meter lengths.
Custom options include:
Adjustable stacking height and length
Variable-speed control for synchronizing with the roll forming line
Safety sensors and emergency stop functions
Pneumatic or hydraulic lifting system
Automatic alignment guides for precise sheet positioning
This adaptability allows manufacturers to integrate the stacker seamlessly into their existing roll forming production line—whether for roofing panels, C and Z purlins, ceiling tiles, or corrugated sheets.
Sheet Detection:
As the formed sheet exits the roll former, the photo eye sensor detects its leading edge and activates the stacker sequence.
Arm Activation:
The pneumatic arms extend to hold the sheet momentarily until it reaches the correct stacking position.
Smooth Drop:
The system gently releases the panel onto the stacking platform, minimizing drop distance to maintain surface integrity.
Stack Formation:
Each sheet is positioned precisely over the previous one, creating a perfectly even stack without human intervention.
Automatic Discharge:
Once a preset number of sheets are stacked, the powered discharge table transfers the finished stack to the packaging station or C-frame, while the stacker immediately resets to receive the next batch.
